The total welfare of the people is our goal. To achieve this goal we plan to involve fully conducting programmes and animation activities to make the people develop spiritually (God-fearing people), socially (concern for each other), pastorally (rooted in Christian faith) and economically (become self-sufficient). We are also concentrating on the education of the poor and orphan children; taking up programmes for the health care of the people. Audience with the Pope
In the third week of last May Our Bishop was in Rome for some meetings. During that time he had a chance to meet with our beloved Pope Francis on 30 May (2018) at the Vatican. He, with much compassion and concern, enquired about our Diocese and very briefly our Bishop gave him a picture of our Diocese and requested him for his prayers for us all.

An unusual flood situation occurred in Palakkad district, Kerala and especially in our diocese where our Catholics live. Many people have lost their household articles and some have lost their houses. A lot of people in this district, especially, in Attapady, Puduseery, Vadakarapathy, Malampuzha, Chittur and Eruthenpathy panjayats are very badly affected.

Our bishop blessed and inaugurated the new convent built by the diocese for the CTC Sisters who are looking after the St. Mary’s Public Schools at ITI, Kanjikode on Saturday 17 November. The CTC Mother Provincial, many fathers, sisters and lay persons took part in it.
Come Lord Jesus!
The frequent prayer during the time of advent is ‘Come Lord Jesus’! This is the prayer found at the end of the book of Apocalypse (22:20). The persecuted Christians under the draconic rule of the Roman Emperor Domitian in the end of the first century of Christian era (86-95) were very much in need of encouragement and consolation.
By now most of us know that the Holy Father Francis has convoked a jubilee year to be called the Holy Year of Mercy. It will begin Dec. 8, 2015 the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, and end Nov. 20, 2016, the Solemnity of Christ the King…
